At the end of my last offering we had just arrived at Sydney after a 4 day road trip, where everything went fine except for the last 50 yards when we couldn't turn left on to the street where the hotel was and ended up going over the harbour bridge twice..
We did eventually get to our hotel that was very nice and the view was great. right into the office block next door.
After we took the car back to the rental company we spent the afternoon at Circular Quay. That is the main area around where the ferry's come in from other parts of Sydney into the CBD. No that's not the stuff that Claudia Winkleman is trying to flog on the telly, it stands for Central Business District.
There are lots of bars, restaurants and shops in this area, and just around the corner is the Opera Houses. we could also get some pictures of the bridge,

Above are 4 photos that we took, two good and two not so good. make your minds up.
Thanks to Megan who recommended two fantastic restaurants for us and a great ice cream shop.

The next day i went in in the helicopter so I'll skip to Sunday when we took a guided tour of the city, mostly it was different views of the bridge and opera house from different distances.

We did get over to Bondi beach where we were let out for half an hour, just about time to get a hot dog for the bondi nippers life saving kids. then back on the minibus back to the city.
On our last full day we decided on Wilma's (who doesn't like boats) suggestion to take the Manley Ferry out of Circular Quay to get away from the big city for a while, Manley was lovely. It was more laid back and had a beautiful beach where we stayed for about an hour. we watched some people trying to serf, and I had a paddle in the sea (second of the holiday).

We had something to eat then took to the choppy waters again to get back to Sydney
harbour. In Sydney there was a cruise ship in, The Queen Elizabeth.

All in all we had a great time in Australia. Our favorite place was Melboure. It was a friendly place. Sydney, even though all we saw was around the one place was hustle bustle and lets take the tourist's money. Although Manley did get our vote for a laid back place,
